Maintenance Supervisor

Full Time/ Part Time:

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the property facilities, including guest rooms, cottages, RV sites, public amenity areas, and business offices. They are skilled in a variety of areas including plumbing, locksmithing, carpentry, and electrical systems. Duties include responding to guest requests, repairing breaks, maintaining inventory, and preventative maintenance.

Job Description:

  • Communicate effectively with guests, visitors, and staff
  • Conduct all maintenance work and service requests promptly and efficiently
  • Complete site and unit preventative maintenance following established procedures
  • Clean sites, windows, BBQ grills, pedestals, building exteriors, etc.
  • Paint building exteriors and interiors, signage, road markings, etc.
  • Perform basic carpentry to repair issues in units
  • Perform property services including propane fill station and dump station
  • Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
  • Treat property pools and spas daily to ensure cleanliness
  • Identifying and fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
  • Maintain property HVAC equipment to keep climate control functioning properly
  • Respond to maintenance guest room calls and resolve guest issues
  • Train new hires on property policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all work has been completed in a safe, prompt, and professional manner
  • Guest services quiet hour and rule enforcement
  • Security patrol & lockup
  • Trash pickup
  • Present an appearance appropriate to the image of Highway West Vacations
  • Proactively identifies and champions necessary projects to ensure property upkeep
  • Communicate concerns of the RV Resort with Resort Manager and Facilities Manager
  • Service equipment and tools to ensure all items are in good working order on a routine basis
  • Assist with maintenance department inventory
  • Complete building punch lists and report on needs
  • Perform other duties, including: participate in employee meetings, assist other departments on high turn days, complete projects as assigned.

  • Wall molding, caulking, and drywall damage
  • Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Counter tops and cabinets
  • Window Screens, runners, stripping, curtain bars, and blinds
  • Irrigation systems
  • Interior and exterior doors
  • Electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches and fuses
  • Light Fixtures
  • HVAC systems
  • Appliances such as stoves, and refrigerators, washers, and dryers
  • Toilets, sinks, vanities and disposals
  • Pest Control and removal
  • Fencing
  • Gutters down spouts and connecting hoses
  • Cleaning drains and sewer lines up to 4”
  • Must be able to operate a golf cart
  • Dependable, punctual, impeccable attendance record
  • Accurate, attention to detail, problem solving skills, service oriented
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees and guests on the property.
  • Ability to work outdoors during a variety of weather environments.
  • Must be able to work on feet for extended periods
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school; GED; Technical/Trade School; Apprenticeship
  • Minimum Job-Related Experience: 1 year – 2 years
  • Lift/Carry/Pull/Push up to 50 lbs.
  • Close Concentration, Manual Dexterity
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Preferred
  • EPA Certified Required
